I Love Bisaysa

so wednesday pdays seriously go soo fast like we just emai and get groceries and clean and do laba and thens its 6 like it goes so fast but we went to Ruthy and Jonas and asked the Legronyos if they could kuyog. They are the family that used to be nuns and catholic priests and are sooo strong in the gospel now and have 2 kids and are sooo wonderful and they said they werent sure if they could come with us but we went and then they showed up on their little bike and ruthy and jonas fed us rice and bbq pig intestines (super popular here) and we talked about how the gospel blesses familes and they are doing sooo much better like I could just feel the spirit again in their home and see their joy and it was sooo good and so good to have a member present like that makes it so much more powerful and it's hard to do because everyone just lives so far and it's expensive to plete and yeah but having them there to testify was soo powerful and it just felt good again!!! yay!!!! And then Winston Legronyo (the dad) rode his bike super slow so we could use the light of his bike as a light because it was so dark ah so nice. we tried making lumpya which is a filipino food and it definitley wasnt the same as the naturals and the real deal but it was still good haha and poor sister hulon i kept her awake all night by coughing oooo much.

Thursday!!! We went to the oval to run of course so good and they have track here apparently so there were so many kids running around and throwing javelins and stuff!!! We ate a mango which is just important because thety are sooo lami and I studied about service and how Christ will know the righteous from the wicked at the last day because the righteious would have fed him and clothed him and visited him when he was sick  and how even though it wasnt christ literally it would be serving his children!!! Okay I feel like I can be so much better at serving here its just kind of hard because we cant give people money but sometimes we just help people do laba when they let us so thats good but i just want to be better at serving because SERVICE MAKES ME SO SO HAPPY!!!!

Ihad a goal to talk to more people so as we sat in the trike waiting to leave I just started talking to the women behind us and felt like i should share from the pahmplet of L1 even though thats kind of intense just to jump right in but i trie dit and they wre super jehovahs witness but super nice and just were talking to me and maybe nothing will happen but i am trying to be better at acting on promptings I feel! We had talked to a woman on tuesday and she said we could visit her but she lives in Astorias which is like the farthest from our house it's like 45 minutes and you have to take 2 different trikes (ITS MY FAVORITE RIDE THOUGH IT IS SOOO BEAUTIFUL AND THE OCEAN IS JUST RIGHT THERE BY THE ROAD AND A LITTLE HILLY AND AHHHH SO GORGEOUS) and all we had was her name bvut we went to the baranguy hall because they know where peple live and who people are for that neighborhood and we asked for Lotis and this woman just offered to take us there and we walked together and then shared L1 and extended pbds and they were so willing and really wanted to and accepted a date and the woman that kuyoged us said the closing prayer and thanked heavenly father that she happened to be at buranguay hall so she could hear our message ahhhh it's the little things the lord is always in the details!!!!

But also really really hard because it's 60 pesos to go with 1 person to church and they both have 5 kids and eldel (the girl we met) doesn't have a husband also so they jight not be able to go to church and therefore get baptized but WE HAVE FAITH THAT IF ITS GODS PLAN also we showed eldel the book of mormon and she just started reading it right there and was so excited and said she would read it every single night ahhh so wonderful.!!!

we went to find Jason the 12 year old that is so cute and always at the computer and he didnt want to come so we helped a woman do laundry (they do it every single day here no joke like its an all day affair) and we got him to come and taught him and his mom inside her sisters house because its bigger and taught the plan of salvation but jason just left during it and we couldnt get terrys husband to come in so that was really hard because we had hasd this amazing spiritual lesson on tuesday and then it wasnt as good but it was also our fault too probably and i needed to see them from gods eyes more. WE went to kurt though and hes 10 and the recent convert ahhhh LOVE HIM he is adorable and was so happy to learn about hte wow again and remembered it so much and then we have such a long list of Less actives and we tried to ask around for where they lived but no one knew or if they did they said it was too far because it was gabii na (alraedy night/late) but I bought a woman some bread and we said we were just going to go home but talk to every single person on our way and we did and we talked to a family making shirts and they were so nice and said we could come back and taht their cousins are members in branch 2 (the elders area) ahhhh we wouldnt have stopped to talk to them probably if we didnt have that goal because they were super busy but so nindot!!!! Also sister hulon has like never felt homesick in her life until now a bit so I have been so unsure how to help but i just want her to be so happy because she is sooo lovely ah love her. if you have ideas let me know please haha and sister frohm the mission nurse said i dont have asthma!!! good news!!!

Friday soo good i studied about how evcen christ was temped from come follow me and how we need to prepare ourselves to withstand temptaion and ate french toast and we went in search of less actives and happened to stop to talk to a nanay and then her son was less active and we sat there for literally 1 1/2 hours just listening to her talk and i could not understand bisaya for some reason and I had been having all these weird heat flashes and super bad headaches so it was just kind of hard to concentrate which i feel so bad about because she really probably just needed a listening ear and her family used to be members apparently ambot (not sure) but i thought of a scriputre from the spirit maybe in 1 nephi 22;25 i think about how god knows all of his sheep and cares for all of us.

Then we went to Evenlyn and shes the relief society president but kind of less active and she told us where to go to find more less actives and stuff. We happened to stop to talk to some little boys and we just sat down in the middle of the bukid to teach a lesson and one of them was a member but less active What>>!> we are going to visit his family now and then we taught the wow with a little game to so many kids that were just outisde and they loved it.

We went to clarisse and she is still doing so wonderufl and SO EXCITED to get her temple recommend!!! every time we teach there there are so many girls ya know like myrna and akeisha and they arent members but they read the bom and know about all the lessons and are so cute their parents just dont want them to be baptized because they are catholic guid but so cute and myrnas dad was so drunk and he cam outside to our lesson and was sooo drunk and saying we were so gwapa and talking about our church yeah it was so wild also we felt like we should visit the member that lives behind our apartment and his wifes brother had died that day from dengue.  what, that was a prompting and we even got to see the body oh my goodnes i am soo grateful for the plan of salvation it was so sad and dengue is sucha  problem right now they canceled school to spary all the schools because there have been so many cases.

Saturday! we had a plan to visit so many people so we went to visit anit and we couldn't find her house so we asked a man if he could take us and he did and then anit apparently prayed about jospeh smith and said she knew it was true but also that she just invite dus back because she likes us and likes listening and isnt looking to change religion, ah that stings but Joseph the man that helped us just came back to her house and said he was a former investigator and wanted to read again and learn more again so we taught the bom and he looovers his pentecostal church but has such faith so maybe that desire will help him to come to the true and restored gospel!!!

also they made us fresh coconut juice with the meat like right off the tree so lami and joseph gave us fresh papaya and we visited mark who has a pbd but hasnt gone to church yet and might just like us but it's soo hard to tell we just dont know but we tried to teach about the holy ghost and his son was just crying and so sad and then threw up everywhere poor thing ah but they are always so nice and give us rice cakes so we took the rice cakes to the place where the body of the membesr wife brother was (they just leave the body out in the casket outside for a week or so so people can come visit and the family usually sleeps there) so we left the rice cakes and a plan of salvation pamphlet for them and we went to teach Lauro who is an old tatay and we were just sitting outside the school and gave him a pamphlet and he just started readinga nd said he was going to come to church and asked if he culd be baptized WHAT INCREDIBLE!!!!

we went back to the Saurez family who we thought was so interested and we fasted for and they are soo kind still of course but also have so much faith in their religion but its always good to share the gospel and how God loves us and He gave His son Jesus Christ. We walked all the way out to Malinou again and they werent home but we talked to their neighbor Gregoria who is 80 and just held our hands and talked about how life is hard but Christ is always there and how we were her friends and it just felt like i had met her before.  it felt so natural and maybe I knew her before, I am serious she is just so sweet and I just know she will accept the gospel so fast one day maybe after this life

Sunday! So some of the cabilous came to church and they only have 1 bike so they take seriously like 12 trips to get even half of their famiy to  church and its like a 15 minute ride and church starts at 8 SUCH FAITH and lauro didn't come to church and actually none of our pbds came which is kind of hard. and then they didn't have anyone to teach the relief society lesson so Sister hulon and I got to!!! I was still feeling kind of so sick like congested and dizzy and stuff but we taught about the REstoration (the best go to because it is sooo important) and then after they told us what the topic was actually supposed to be hhaha whoops but they are so kind and we had branch council and we have 2 rms that try to help us in our work and we have 400 members but only about 60 per week at sacrament and such and they counciled together to think of the richest people in our area that we could teach so they could build up the kingdom guid ahhhh

We will see how it goes but our branch president doesnt even live in our area he lives in toledo but they cant find anyone to replace him so he just still is our branch president and the members just have so much faith guid. we went all the way to Astorias again and all the people we were going to visit werent there but we decided to go to a less active and thought she wasn't home but she answered and is kind of lonely and was so happy to have her favorite scripture and have us to talk to so that was good. we taught the people we met that had been making shirts before and they said they would maybe try to read the book of mormon so hopefully!!! he has been studying jehovahs witness for 3 years so ambot!!

Monday and tuesday i havent even written in my journal yet so it's kind of a blur but we tried visiting lots of members because we talked about members at our district council and how we should use them to find people bu ti feel like they just need to be strengthened first ya know!!!! we talked about come follow me a lot because a lot of people ont know how to do it yet and last night we went back to sabalandi thinking it might be the make or break lesson to see if they had areal desire or not and they all had fevers like literally all 5 of them were so sick but we went in their little house (just a cardboard box for a bed and sheets around it) and i felt the spirit so strong and they said they wanted to go to church but were so sick and I just felt soooo happy and so much joy like they really have a desire I think and I LOVE THESE PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We really dont have very many set people and we have lots of work to do but I love it and I love sister hulon she really is wonderful and helps correct my grammar and I hope I am not too annoying to her hahah it's so good I LOVE YOU ALLLLLL AND PRAY FOR YOU SO MUCH AND THE PEOPLE HERE LOVE YOU TOO BECAUSE I TALK ABOUT YOU SO MUCH LOVE YOU ALL PADAYON SO INYONG KUGI HA!!!!! (keep being dilligent okay?) hahah also i looove bisaysa sometimes i think i know less than i did in the mtc but  man i love being able to communicate with these people even though it's "sooo fragmeneted" thats a quote from someone this week and also yesterday this guy just kept saying the most gwapa people are from utah and asked me to marry him and stuff ah people are so nice LOVEYOU ALL
