kuto=lice and kutol=itcy in Bisaya

Okay how wonderful is Bisaya?! I love how true that lice is soo itchy and the words lice and itchy are so similar in Bisaya haha so yes we are back and going in Old Escalante!!! I have lice haha but I feel so so grateful to still be here surrounded by these incredible incredible people. Seriously my companion and house mates just have dedicated an hour every day to help pick the lice out haha I feel so blessed!!!

So small update on Brother Lards who is the one with so many questions and we were teaching him about the spirit world and started discussing about being able to do baptisms for the dead and his eyes lit up sooo much and he understood that God loves us and gives allll of His children the opportunity to return to Him. Sometimes we just want to have people keep their comittments and read from the Book of Mormon the whole day so their understanding can grow but I have especially noticed this week my own comittment and the things I am doing to follow the Savior. Am I keeping my comittment to serve Him with all my heart, might, mind, and strength? Am I loving and serving all those around me? I know that as we give our very best efforts, we are so blessed because God makes up the difference and through the Atonement of His son, it can be enough.

Also yesterday we were going to our sweet Jocelyn who is practically a member and has the strongest testimony, and we stopped to talk to a husband and wife who were sitting together. Without even really explaining our purpose or who we were, they pulled up chairs for us and we started talking about their hopes and dreams for their family and who they want their children to be and the influence of God in their life and this brother his name is Tata and he is totally Illongo which we don't know but serious;y through the power of God we were able to understand what he was saying and the Spirit was soo strong!!!!

We had been praying we would be able to find new people and make up for the whole week we weren't able to work and seriously Brother Tata and Sister Glyza we are so excited to go back to them and talk to them about what they read in the Book of Mormon!!! Also I am impressed every day by the righteous mothers here that gather their 6 children every night to read from the scriptures and have family prayers, and who have a chore chart so even their 4 year olds take turns making the fire to cook the rice and doing dishes. I am so grateful for mothers and for my mother (jenna!!!!) and the mother figures in my life in America and here in the Philippines ah life is so good I am still so happy here and hope you have the best week!!!!! Dont forget to pray each and everyday I know that is how we can find peace no matter what is happening in our lives
