On Sunday we went to church as usual and then when no one was in the building, we ran from building to building looking for people. After about 35 minutes of running up and down stairs and searching for people we asked the front desk to call our Branch President to ask where church was supposed to be. The 4 of us (my roomies) said a prayer and then the man asked us if we knew what time it was and then we realized daylight savings time and that we were actually an hour early. We really do live in a bubble here!!! But it is such a good bubble and I have learned so much about the Gospel and even though there is so much more to go I love it!
I have been feeling super inadequate at the language and felt like my lessons weren't good enough because I couldn't explain or express any of my feelings so I had been praying a lot for peace and assurance in order to do my work more effectively. On Tuesday we had a devotional with Elder and Sister Ochoa from the Quorum of the 70, and his message felt like it was directed at me! He shared how we felt like we needed to let go of our fears and doubts and TRUST and have faith in the Lord!
On Wednesday when we taught 2 lessons, I felt the Spirit more than I even have speaking Cebuano and I felt such a love for the interested people we were teaching! I was not more fluent in Cebuano or anything like that but I did have such an increase in the spirit and I felt such a desire to share the truth of the Gospel and I wasn't afraid!!!
I know that we all have a Loving Heavenly Father that loves us and hears our prayers!!! He can help us through all things!!!
Also on Monday it was super windy and rainy and stormy after our night class and while everyone else was running for cover, our district was spinning and soaking in the rain and saying: Viva sa Pilipinas!!!! I love this work so much thank you for all the prayers!!!!
