Wednesday! so we had a pday and it flew by and then we went out to Arpili and I have only met 1 rc and 1 la there and I dont know if there are anything else like no members and it isnt really been explored much so we are going to try that maybe and KURT so he is the rc that is 10 almost 11 and is just so increible and we talked about his bunyag and he really was so happy to be baptized and just remembers that day so well and right now his aunt who is a member is in manilla and she has been there for a while and kurts family is really not interested so he hasnt had a way to go to church and we cant go with him ah that just hurt my heart because he really wants to go to church but we need to find a way and then we visited the SAAVERDA and they are a nanay and tatay and tyhey were baptized pretty recently like last 10 years and have a hard time getting to church but twe got there and Tatay saaverda just started talking about joseph smith and his testimony of him and we read from 2 nephi 3 about the prophecies about him and they said they would come to church yay!!!! we have a problem with curfew I dont know why it is so hgard but we always end up being at peoples houses at like 8:15 and we still have to travel home and we coul nt find a trike for so long so we were just zooming down the street. Sister luque tells me I have to take more control of the situation ah that is so true guid I just have a hard time like directing the conversations if they are sharig their life stories so i really need to work on that ah
Thursday! In personal study I read about my purpose as a missionary because for some reason I feel like I am just going day to day doing misisonary things but not actually being christlike and representing him and of course I know I read this so much, that these are my brothers and sisters but I tried to really imagine if I was sitting in a jeepney and you guys got in like HOW EXCITED AND HAPPY WOULD I BE TO SHARE WITH YOU GUYS and it shouldnt be different like I should be doing tht for every person!!! Also I love in true to the faith it says the most powerful missionary message you can send is your own example of righteous living an dhow true that is. We tried to follow our plan but no one was home so we helped someone move cement and he was really wanting us to marry him but we started talking to SAM SAM who is just 13 and he really listened to the Restoration and had a different look in his eye it seemed like yayy!! We went to find a referral because a man had told us to visit his wife UNEDA and she was so confused what was happening and how we knew her but we talked about her family and how the gospel can bless her family and she had the cutuest apo named faith ah then we went to fid these girls dancing to greatest showman (that actually happens a lot) and they were so happy to talk and we gave them pass along cards and there was a woman named HELEN and i just felt like we needed to pray with her because she seemed so sad so we did and I dont kow if it will go anywhere but maybe?? We bought bread and went out to the beach to do our studies which was such a great idea becvuse we have been so blessed to be in this land and as we were walking we saw a girl sitting on the street an it just felt so natural like we had to stop and we just picked up her jugs and started walking together and she is 16 and watches the houe so she doesnt go to school LORRY MAY is her name and we starting sharing about the restoration and we asked her to read mosiah 4;9 and she just read and then kept reading and was pouring over the words like we tried to talk to her or ask her questions and she just kept pouring and reading and her eyes were just glowing ahhh so we gave her the book and were so excited becue she said she would kuyog us to simba!! we practiced bisaysa and did our companion study and then we didnt have to go home but jut could keep working! We helped someone paint and met some people close to samsam to teach and ah peop0le have such faith in the katholic church really which is good! We visited a la and brought a gift for her daughter and she started crying SISTER APPDUHAN which hapeens like every time we visit and ah my heart it hurts because she just is really sad that her parents left the churhc (he was a former branch preside4nt and endowed and everything) nd it is so hard but we talked aobut why we need to continue and go to church and read the bom everyay. We taught a nanay who was so nice and just loved to listen and we went past dayte (sister appduhans parents) and sister luque got them to open the door just to say hello so thats a step! we went to lucy's who is a member and so good and her son emmanuel was there and he had so mny stories about prison and how he survived the baguio in tacloban but doesnt believe in the church or that he needs to pray and ah we didnt really know what to do or say and then the spirit relly left i think because it was so past curf3ew and we were still there so that was probably my fault but yeah!
Friday! i loved in cfm about the sacrifice people make to join the church and i thought bout you dad and about the people here and how sometimes they have to sacrifice everything and we met ANGELICA who it was her bday that day and he turned 20 and has two kids miracle and we tried finding so many people and less actives but to no avail. Then the afternoon we tried to find grace who was a referral and she was at her neighbors and they wre having a meeting with missionaries from a different church and they talked aobut power and authoriy they had and sister luque is so good and just defended and I was so unsure what to do but then we tried to go out to teach and teach the LACORDA who we met on the road but the missionaries have never stopped and we could not speak bisaysa or teach like AT ALL the spirit was so gone and they were so confused and we knew we needed the spirit so we went out to an open area and prayed and read our favorite scriptures and it felt so much better like I physically felt a difference and our bisays was so not perfect but we went to LIBBY AND MARY BECK AND DUNDUN and they are sooo excited for bunyag yay! But we needed to review all of it again all of the restoration so they understand and it was incredible because everytime we tried to start speaking even if they were talking or commenting it just got so quiet and they listened and I KNOW THAT WAS THE SPIRIT SO GUID AH I AM SO GRATEFUL!!!!! the holy ghost literally filled my mouth. then we found out a member had prepared dinner and we had no idea so we legit ran and ate such good food ah the cojaxsons they are incredible peolpe guid and we were soo late ahah and siter luque felt so sick apparently and they were so worried about her so we trie to help her and just let her sleep
Saturday! Apparently sister luque threw up all night and was o sick and I just slept through it WHAT so i helped her clean up the throw up and she kept saying we were going to work and then would just pass out in sleep on the couch so I think it was secretely a huge blessing in disguise for me to study and to read becuse I feel like there is never time in the day and I trie dto help her drink water and things and just read about the promise that one dya all people will know aobut the gospel so even if right now it feels like that is impossible it will come and there are poeple out there prepared!!! I just have so much I want to change and become in order to be a betteer represent6ive of christ and make usre I am giving all of my friends and siblings here a chance to receive the gospel. We ended up going out becaue she felt better and we visited MULIT who is less active kids becaque they have no way to go to church becaue their mom works and their gma takes care of their gpa who hda a stroke so we gave them missionary tags and helped them to practice sharing ytheir testimonies for ann ann who is their aunt and who recived a pbd las5t week SO EDIFYING TO HEAR TESTIMONIES even iif they are just from little kids they are sooo powerful and they relly really know GUID!!! we tried to find people we had taught lst week but couldnt reall6y so we foudn JEffrey who relaly listened and asked quietions but then said he was so happy with his religion rightn ow. thats okay!!! We we nt to sabalndi who have 10 children soon to be 11 and have sa stand on sundy so they cant go to church daou (definition dauo is "that is what they said" in bisaya) and they love listening but that is hard but we went to Ponteras who is all members but Moses is less ac6tive the husband so we waite for h im to get hoome and taught about prophest and priethood power and pl,ayed games and I really felt like he felt sometihng so hopefullly he can return and be that example for his famly!
Sunday! It has become like the most tressful day ever ahah but I LOVE IT ALSO AHHH THE SACRAMENT!! We tried to go meet up with Lorry may but she was not there and we tried calling and texting but no answer so that was sad and then the Carmelotes who said they would come to simba guid didnt come eaither ah and then Ruthy and jonas and Brother Malinao and Kurt and Clarisse all recent converts werent there either which is so hard because I jkust want them to be soooo happy and to receive all the blessings of the gospel!! but we give talks every 3 weeks which is good because sometimes I forget how to do that and they are like 5 minutes thats it but yes so good and we went to sunday school ah i love come follow me SO MUCH IT IS SOO GOOD!!!!!!!! and I relly like having elders in our branch that is so good because it seems like it helps so we can talk to all the members even if only like 60 come it still is a lot and we want all of them to feel so happy and loved!!!! We went to lorry mays house and her family was there and she was asleep but we taughyt all of them that was so good!!!!!!!! And it was pouring and we kept getting punted so we tried wlking a different way and we stopped to tlk to a boy who started running aqway so we followed him an d people let us in to get away from the rain and we found A MEMBER THAT HAD JUST MOVED FROM MANILLA WHAT MIRACLE she was w\onderign where the church was and wis the only one baptized in her family ahhh!!!!!!!!!! MIRACLE!!!!! okay here is where it gets tricky i dont have my plnner and i havent written in my jou7rnal yet so i am not toally sure what else happened moday and tuesday but i will trry
Monday! we went to toledo for zone council with our zone and they re so good and it is so uplifting to learn from all the misisonaries and elder prayles (district leader) asked us to talk about homesickness which was good nad we ate nd rode b\ack and it took like all day so we went out late but tried to visit ANN ANN and she told us that she actually doesnt want to get baptized and doesnt beleive in the church but that we can still come and she will isten ahhhh nooo but so good tht she is so nice and wqill steill let uis return and maybe later right!!! also we had our cordiation meetig and I found out that Ruthy and Jonas and brother mal8inao actually ar3e doing so much worse than I thought and are sturggling so so oso much with alcohol and other things ahhhh MY HEART that is so so so hard but we are oging to continue loving and visiting and teaching and focusing on the blessings of the gospel so they can feel and see them.
Tuesday! We visited ANGELICA and aah she is so good she asked how we know that russell m nelson is the living prophet and about how he receives power and we gave her a bom and she just really wants to learn so much and help her famlky so much!!!! she uisnt marrie dthey re just live in but ah we are praying so much for her also we visited TATAY WARLITO who ahhhhh it is so hard he is so good nd his heart is so good and he wants to just follow chirs5t and wants to feel his love but he feels like he cant promise us becaue he doesnt want to lie if he has a health problem and end up not beign albe to go to shurch please contiue to prya for him guid!!!!!!! And also we visited the Canyete who are members and so strong and just minister always and are so good and want to help us so much and it is so good I know you gusy are like that for the missionaries there which makes me so happy but
