Wednesday we ended up being at the temple around 6 and we met these 3 men who work at the temple and didn't know anything about the church, but just maintain the land and we got to talk about the temple and what happens inside and they were sooo excited to receive a Book of Mormon and 1 of them came to church on Sunday!
We have this couple Sister Mirasol and Brother Stephen and the day we met she started crying when we started talking about the Saviors love (okay yes her heart is so gold) and we taught them about the gospel and started talking about baptism and after the lesson she just blessed me (the hand to the forehead sign of respect here in the Philippines) and was crying and hugging and holding on to my arm and kept saying thank you ah the gospel brings true peace even with the many trials and struggles Sister Mirasol faces everyday
One of the members in our ward is only 13 Brother Arnie but he and his siblings all work so hard to help support his family and have an income so he carries water jugs on his shoulders up and down the hills of Busay and we read in Mosiah 24 about how the Lord can literally lift the heavy burdens and strengthen us through all things ah we love the Ardinez family
Sunday I felt the spirit soooo strongly as we testified about the restoration to Sister Mary ann and her husband and her sister has so many doubts and just wante dus to show her Jospeh Smiths name in the Bible for her to believe which made me think about my own life and my own faith, do I ask for signs and demand immediate answers or do I trust? Do I believe even without seeing or knowing all things? I know He blesses us for our faith and that the way we live our lives is an expression of that faith and trust in HIS plan
Yesterday we happened to be at the temple again and there were girls taking pictures and we found out they were doing a report at school about the church but they had no idea about the church or who Mormon was or what happened inside the temple, and we got to share and as we talked the spirit was soooo strong their eyes got watery and they kept asking what that feeling was ahhhh I seriously cant believe i am blessed enough to be a missionary and see things like that happen ahhh yay!!!!
